Meet Little Brown Button

Finally, after a streak of bad luck that included a grass fire on January 1st, a still-born foal in April, the loss of Gray, our 13 year old cat, and an automobile accident, our luck has started to turn. On Wednesday, April 30, Anna delivered a beautiful baby girl. We call her Little Brown Button, as opposed to the Big Brown horse who tried and failed to win the Triple Crown this year.
As you can see in this photo, Susan and Button enjoy each other’s company. Button follows her around whenever she is in the corral, and Susan never seems to be too busy to spend a little time loving on Button.
We’re located in Central Texas, about 25 miles southeast of downtown Austin. Our mail comes from Kyle, our phone from Lockhart, and our water from Goforth, but we’re closer to Uhland than any of those places. We’ve been raising miniature donkeys since 2000 and rescuing throw-away puppies since 2002.
We currently have 6 donkeys and 6 puppies. Button will be available for sale later this year.
